As one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies, RecycleSmart has grown from 40 team members in 2020 to 92 team members as of April 2022. This dedicated team lives the RecycleSmart values of Drive, Sustainability, Collaboration, & Innovation delivered by this group of talented professionals across Canada. We leverage our purpose-driven team to help our customers achieve their sustainability goals to reduce waste and improve recycling program success.
To acknowledge the increasing importance of building and developing a high-performance team at RecycleSmart, the Human Resources team has evolved to become the People & Culture department. This new name reflects a more holistic focus on developing and enhancing the RecycleSmart team not just handling the traditional HR function.
People & Culture
Courtney Leong, Manager of People & Culture, is leading the charge to drive, collaborate and innovate the management of RecycleSmart’s most important asset, our team members. The People & Culture team works to empower RecycleSmart employees aka “Smartians” to continue their professional development on an annual basis. RecycleSmart has also undertaken a focused initiative to foster an inclusive workplace where all team members feel welcome and stand behind our RecycleSmart DEI (Diversity, Inclusivity, Equity) Statement.
